Let me know if fabrics were prewashed and if I can mark on
your quilt (required for heirloom quilting).
Backing and batting must be at least 6 inches larger than
the top on all sides.
Do not baste quilt layers together.
Clip all loose threads; check top for weak seams and stray
pins.
Press top, checking for twisted seam allowances.
If you wish the quilting to be in a certain order, pin a paper
marked TOP to the quilt.
Please be aware that if there is extra fullness in the quilt
body or its borders, puckers cannot always be avoided. If
there is a big problem, I will call.
Place top, backing, etc. in a plastic bag with name and address
and mail in a sturdy box. I will notify you when the quilt
arrives and when it leaves my studio.
I do expect to iron out a few wrinkles from those quilts mailed
to me.
If you piece your backing, have major seams running horizontally.
Cut off selvedges. Press seams open.
Please contact me with any questions you may have. I am looking
forward to working with you.
